What Hope Evidence Vault is
A service for collecting, preserving and organizing digital evidence: cases, evidence files, events, and cards for people, organizations and online accounts, with a timeline and structured reports.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and the credentials you set for signing in.
- Content you save: the files, texts, events, cards and notes you add to your cases. This content can include personal data about you and about other people, because documenting events is the purpose of the service.
- Technical data needed to run the service: sign-in records and an action history for your materials (what was added, changed, exported or deleted, and when).
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not search for private personal data about people, and we do not identify people from photographs.
- We do not send your materials to AI services without a clear notice and your permission.
How content is protected
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Original evidence files are stored unchanged, separately from processed copies, each with a SHA-256 checksum and an upload record in UTC. Access to your archive is controlled by your account; sharing is granted by you, item by item.
Your rights
You can export your original materials in full at any time, including on the free plan and after a paid plan ends. You can delete individual materials, a whole case, or your account with all its content, as described in the Data Retention & Deletion Policy.
Where data is stored
The service runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. The specific storage regions will be stated here before launch.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be announced on the website and by email before they take effect.
